Thanks for all for your patience through these uncertain times. Per Governor DeWine’s order that school buildings remain closed for this school year, Ewing School will continue to operate as it has this past month. The WCBDD administration will continue to conduct business remotely and through virtual means with voicemails and emails monitored daily.

The Washington County Board of Developmental Disabilities will be holding regular meetings. The meetings will be held virtually.

The next meeting is scheduled for August 11th, 2020 at 5:15PM

Anyone wishing to participate please contact Brenda Riffe at briffe@wcbdd.org on information for how to participate.

Please take the following survey if you have a child that attends Ewing school and is a preschool student or school age student. The information from this survey will help guide the development of school services for the 2020-2021 school year. Please share your honest answers with us. Thank you for your time.

Job Opportunities

With the closure of schools in Ohio for the next three weeks, we understand that this unexpected turn of events is causing some undue stress for families. We were informed yesterday at the same time as the public about the mandated school closing and have been working our way through this as the Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities continue to hand down information and requirements that we must abide by. For now, the administrative offices of the County Board will remain open. However, only staff and persons expected for necessary scheduled meetings will be permitted past the front desk. Staff may be contacted by phone or through email. If this changes, you will be notified.

For notifications, I encourage you to sign up for our automated notification texting system if you have not already. This is the quickest method for getting information to you. The County Board also has a Facebook page listed as “Washington County Board of Developmental Disabilities” where information will be periodically posted.

We are also offering delivered breakfast and lunch to all students and their siblings beginning next Wednesday. To request meals, you may either complete the online form by following this link http://bit.ly/wcbddmeals.

For families with children who have food allergies, if one child in the family has a known allergy, all children in the family will receive the same meal.

As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call. We will get through this by working together.
