Ewing School Facility
Our Ewing School building has a gymnasium and a warm water pool available for
rental to the public after school hours and weekends. Application for facility

Aquatic Therapy
The
Washington County Board of Developmental Disabilities offers aquatic programs
for all students at Ewing School and clients at the WASCO Workshop. Time
is also provided for the home based Early Intervention program to utilize the
pool.
Students from other schools who have a need for warm water
therapy may use the pool on a weekly or monthly basis.
Meeting everyone's needs include water adjustment skills,
therapy exercise, and swimming skills. The pool is maintained at a
temperature of 90-91° so it is very inviting for most people.
 | Family & Staff Open Swim - On Wednesdays from 6:00-8:00
pm, during the Ewing School calendar year, we offer a free swim for anyone
affiliated with the Washington County Board of DD. This includes:
our students and families, WASCO consumers and families, our staff and
families, or board members and their families.

| Friday Open Swim - On Fridays, 6:00 -
8:00 pm the pool is open to the public for swim. There is a fee of $2.00 per
person. The pool is closed on holidays and whenever the school program is
closed.

| After Hours Programs - Washington County Board of DD also
offers several after hours programs. On Tuesdays and Thursdays from
3:30-6:30 pm, three separate arthritis warm water exercise classes are
taught. A certified instructor leads the class through various
stretching exercises. A lifeguard is provided. If there is not
space available, we can put your name on a waiting list.
